About
After a long time away from photography, I’ve returned with a completely different way of seeing. This isn’t a continuation of what came before. It’s a full reset — a deliberate stripping back of everything I used to do, how I used to shoot, and what I thought a photograph should be. I’m treating this as an experiment: removing the friction of modern-day photography and working with the medium in its simplest form. I have limited the photography to high contrast black and white via my Ricoh GR3, with all settings baked into the camera, what this leaves me is a way of purely seeing without the thought of a output or a style after the fact, this is another level to test out a theory on using only one lens/camera combination which should help take away the fatigue that can kick in with multiple options. There is another layer that has been combined with my pursuit of running and photography, a simple photo-run where I take my camera with me while I stack mileage. The relationship between subject matter and the medium is pure relentless consistency. More to come.
